Privacy
How we handle your information.
Short version: we collect what you type into the form, use it to contact you about this group, and don't sell or share it for anyone else's purposes.
What we collect
Only what you enter: your name and email address, and optionally your years active, which group you served with, and a note. We also see your IP address briefly, to limit automated abuse of the form. Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider may also record it.
What we do with it
- Email you about this group: reunions, announcements, and updates to this site.
- Build a roster so alumni can be found and reconnected.
- Notify the volunteers running this effort that you signed up.
We don't sell your information, rent it out, or use it for advertising. We won't put it on this site. If we ever build a member directory, sharing your details in it will be your choice, field by field, and private by default.
Who else handles it
Your information is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States. We use an email service provider, EmailOctopus, to send newsletters and manage subscriptions; when we do, it handles your name and email address on our behalf. Each email carries an unsubscribe link.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time, or stop emails by using the unsubscribe link. Email us and a person will handle it.
Who we are
Former Medics of Aggieland is an independent, informal alumni effort. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Texas A&M University, its EMS programs, or the Association of Former Students.
